“Moses” -Digital Portrait Painting by Sam Spratt
Today, for the first time I managed to get the dual brush, transfer, and texture settings to work FOR me in Photoshop and achieved this incredibly randomized, lovely, and very traditional looking effect with my brushes. This is a practice painting done to test out the new technique. Dillon Engstrom graciously provided the reference and the product is something totally new for me on a technical level. With some tweaking it could become a valuable part of my general toolset.

If you like this painting, do follow me on tumblr (I follow back almost every person that follows me for the sake of not missing out on potential inspiration), or for the latest, I run a mean facebook artist’s page and a musing-filled twitter.
