“Gilded III” - Illustration by Sam Spratt (Prints Available Here) I really enjoy making these Gilded paintings but I didn’t want to be confined to the Avengers as I would eventually need to make boring things like Cap’s shield, Black Widow’s… uhh… belt buckle, and Golden melty Hulk shorts. I figured a good ‘ol fashioned skull was a good enough departure point (plus many requests for it by military and the tattoo-inclined), with things like a Dark Knight cowl, Guy Fawkes Mask, and several others being potential additions to the series.
